We recently enjoyed the privilege welcoming the Old Persons Group from Nieu-Bethesda to Mount Camdeboo. This group of elderly people from a disadvantaged back round, some of which have never travelled out of their home village thoroughly enjoyed the outing, as did our staff who took pleasure in hearing about ‘life back then’ – a far cry from the lives we live today!

The group arrived in time for a morning game drive and were taken up to the Paardefontein plateau, enjoyed great game viewing including sightings of mountain zebra, rhino, large herds of various antelope and the highlight, coming across the cheetah!

This delightful group of happy senior citizens then returned to enjoy a delicious lunch which had been prepared for them by the staff. Some of the group described their experience at Mount Camdeboo as a once in a life time opportunity!
