Volunteer ProjectVolunteer Project

Mount Camdeboo Private Reserve offers the ultimate in volunteer conservation programmes.

35 000 Acres of ancient, malaria-free lands are home a huge variety of game and indigenous flora and fauna – offering the enthusiast a taste of untamed Africa.

Volunteers to the Mount Camdeboo programme will be given the rare opportunity to learn about the function of the classic African Game Ranger in a small, private group. And given that the Reserve is a working concern, volunteers will also have ample opportunities to apply the theory that they learn - in practice.

Running for a period of 2 or 3 weeks, each programme is limited to 8 volunteers per course. This means that hands on and indepth experience is gained. Furthermore, the project doesn’t just cater for academics and experienced conservationists. All that is needed is a sense of enthusiasm and the ability to manage physically demanding work.

The Mount Camdeboo Volunteer Programme offers full accommodation, meals and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But why not contact the RANGERS for more information about rates, dates and other details.
